Afternoon Delight Cocktail Recipe

Temperatures have been hot, air conditioners are on fullafternoon delight drink throttle, and swimming pools are filled. With summer comes outdoor happy hours and socials. This is a sweet and tangy “Afternoon Delight” cocktail  recipe that can be made in just minutes. Serve as a featured drink at your next outdoor party! This is also a cool chiller for sitting around the pool with the girls. Add a slice of grapefruit or a cocktail umbrella to dress it up. Cheers to a great summer and remember to drink responsibly! Afternoon Delight


  • 2 ounces orange juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces gin
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup**
  • 4 ounces pink grapefruit juice (fresh grapefruit is best)
  • Seltzer

Simple Syrup

  1. In a saucepan, boil 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water over medium-high heat until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool completely before using.
