Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) is expected to report first quarter earnings after the market close on Thursday with a conference call scheduled for 5:00 pm ET.According to First Call, analysts are looking for a profit of $0.49 on revenue of $3.29 billion. The consensus range is $0.46-$0.52 for EPS, and revenue of $3.15 billion-$3.41 billion.Earlier this month, Starbucks applied a realignment of its organization structure, with the retail businesses split into Americas, China, and Asia Pacific, and EMA forecast 2012 margin in Asia region around 30%.The company also announced plans to bring wine, beer and premium food offerings to a handful of locations in Atlanta and Southern California by the end of this year. These stores, along with several others recently announced for the Chicago area, will be the first extensions of the evening day-part concept outside of the Pacific Northwest. Starbucks recently raised prices by an average of 1% in the Northeast and Sunbelt regions to offset high prices for coffee, milk and fuel.Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) has potential upside of 2.9% based on a current price of $47.49 and an average consensus analyst price target of $48.86.Starbucks is currently above its 50-day moving average (MA) of $44.71 and above its 200-day of $39.85.
